It's funny. I usually scoff when people throw up the "but I make sites for me!" defense; if you were making it for you, you wouldn't post it in such a public forum, right?
But NEVER EVER is kind of like that for me. It's embarrassingly self-indulgent, but I like hearing what people have to say about it (though I think a lot of the positive feedback is more people wanting to side with the "indie" shrine and less NEVER EVER actually being a good shrine). I'll go on the record now saying that I have no plans to ever make this "your number one source"; this is my page about Tifa, and it is not meant to be treated as an end-all source. My interpretation may vary slightly from yours, and NEVER EVER does make a few assumptions. This site acts as my release to discuss a character I greatly admire, and ideally you'll get something out of it to. However, my hope is that it broadens your interpretation of the character rather than replace it. I don't want to dictate how you react to Final Fantasy VII (really!).
Having said this, it's important to realize that the FFVII fandom has given the term "interpretation" a little too much weight. An overwhelming number of fans argue that everything's up to interpretation, when this is simply not the case (not to mention terribly insulting to poor Kazushige Nojima). "It's my interpretation" should not translate to "get out of jail free". Interpretations mean nothing when there is nothing in the narrative to back them up. With a character under as much scrutiny as Tifa, I hope NEVER EVER communicates this distinction clearly.
